I had a deep conversation with one of my clients about something incredibly important: prioritizing our mental health. It's a topic that often gets overlooked in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but it's absolutely crucial, especially during challenging times like a divorce.

The crux of our conversation revolved around the necessity of carving out time for therapy. Investing in our mental well-being, whether it requires time or financial resources, is absolutely essential. When going through significant life changes, such as a divorce, we need all the strength and tools we can muster to navigate the challenges ahead. That's why making therapy a non-negotiable aspect of our self-care routine is paramount.

Additionally, we discussed the importance of recognizing those moments when we need to be alone or seek support. These moments are not only valuable but should also be respected. Taking the time to be with ourselves or seek guidance from others helps us calm our minds and relax. And when our minds are at ease, we're better equipped to make sound decisions and choices as we embark on our new journey post-divorce.

While starting therapy may seem daunting at first, it's essential to view it as a project—a project that can bring about positive changes and personal growth. Though it may not always be easy, the benefits of therapy are immeasurable. It can help us bounce back faster and lead happier, more fulfilling lives.

Ultimately, prioritizing our mental health is the greatest gift we can give ourselves. By dedicating time and effort to self-care, we enable ourselves to be present in both our personal and professional lives. So, let's make therapy a priority, embrace the journey of self-discovery, and reclaim our sense of self.

Here's to prioritizing our mental health and reclaiming our self-identity.
